We've had a great week up here in the Northwest middle of nowhere. My parents keep asking if I'm getting "rested up" and I tell them that I'm more tired here than I was at home- if that's possible! But life is finally starting to calm a bit after the many big events of last week; here's some of what we've been up to!
Last Thursday, we spent the day in Farmington with Grandpa John and Grandma Celesta. Farmington continues to be as peaceful, relaxed, and fun, as I remember it from my childhood, and my kids seemed to agree. We had a great time playing with second cousins Viv and Porter too.

Grandma Celesta made us sandwiches and milk and ice cream cones for us to enjoy a picnic outside!
It was a great day. :)
FRIDAY was Sam's graduation party. My baby brother, (who was 4 when I graduated!!!), graduated from high school this week. I was so busy helping get ready, I didn't take many pictures. Except I did remember to take a picture of our food table. :) Grandma Celesta made the beautiful fruit and veggie trays that I want to duplicate for a party sometime! She also helped Mom and I do the rest.
All in all, it was a great party with a huge turnout. This house is the perfect size for hosting such a large number of people! As it got later, everyone sat out on the new deck and enjoyed the summer evening. Beautiful! Happy Graduation Sammy!
Saturday was the big graduation day!
He looks thrilled that I jumped in front of him to take this picture. :)
We had fun with a lot of family around to celebrate with!
The rest of the weekend was filled with fun family time, including this sweet moment with Eli enjoying older cousins around to read to him:
Alayna decided to try climbing out of the crib (no big shocker there)
Eli continues to enjoy his cozy little corner :)
We read stories with Great Grandma Celesta and cousins:
And we watched Sam and Mom earn their Eagle Scout award. :)
In other news, I've been working hard all week on Eli's birthday party (he's turning FOUR on Monday!) but more on that next week. :)
I am really enjoying reading this blog, Emily. Thank you for writing it and the photography. x
